About me

My name is Franzi and I am a PhD student at the University of Bradford in the UK.

Originally from Germany, I came to the UK in 2004 for my A Levels and stayed to complete a BA (Hons) in Film. After my undergraduate degree I studied at the University of Cambridge for a PGCE teaching qualification and a Masters and Arts, Education and Culture.

I have been a film, media and German teacher for five years now and enjoy working with students in primary, secondary, further and higher education. I am especially interested in media studies and how our understanding of media literacy shapes the world around us.

The PhD allows me to combine all of the things I love: education, film, innovation and communal projects. I am looking forward to the next three years and hope to hear from you in the future to discuss ideas and share resources!

I have been involved in education for a while and updated this blog for a couple of months. Beware, it's a little bit less coherent than this one, but might give you a good idea about what kind of education stuff I feel passionate about!

I am always open to collaboration so please get in touch at any point!
